BR Healthcare Services will provide the client with a comprehensive evaluation and assessment of operations as well as projections for the subsequent one to two years. The goal of the Turnaround Evaluation will be to provide a roadmap that will guide the facility in making appropriate changes necessary to insure long term survival.
BRHS can act in tandem with current management or it can take operational control of the facility (if requested), under a separate agreement (Turnaround Services), during the assignment. The overall goal of the evaluation would be to evaluate the current status of the facility, assess the opportunity for a turnaround of the facility, and establish a plan for performance improvement and continued financial stability. BRHS would:
- Conduct a comprehensive evaluation and assessment of all Hospital operations, to include, but not be limited to, financial, management, marketing, staffing, levels of service, Business Office, collections, Nursing, and ancillary services
- Compare financial operating indicators against national/regional standards
- Make available to the Hospital support personnel experienced in the areas of Rural Health Clinics, Home Health Agencies, Swing Beds, and Skilled Nursing Facilities
- Validate current DRG coding to enhance Hospital financial performance and review past Medicare Cost Reports to assist the Hospital in optimizing its reimbursement
- Develop marketing and community service programs to enhance the Hospital’s status in the community
- Make recommendations for performance improvement and quantify each recommendation where possible
- Prepare a blueprint for operations which, if followed, would turn the facility around financially and set it on a course for future growth
- Meet with lenders to discuss the operational changes recommended by BRHS and agree upon an improvement plan
