
BR Healthcare Services would conduct a comprehensive review of the Hospital market and establish current market share and assess community perception. The company would review the current service area profile; service area demographics by age, sex, income, and ethnicity; internal Hospital demographic information; State Hospital Association area demographics; Medical Staff demographics; and Hospital annual audits for the prior two years. In addition, BRHS would conduct interviews with Hospital Board members, Administration, Medical Staff leaders, and community leaders.
The company would analyze all collected data and establish current Hospital market penetration and project trends for future market share based on current operations. It would also develop an assessment of the market, identifying strengths and weaknesses of the facility, as well as opportunities and threats posed by competitive hospitals and the government.
Utilizing the completed market analysis information BRHS would develop, in conjunction with the Board and Hospital Administration, a strategic marketing development plan for the facility. The plan would recommend organizational, marketing, and operational changes which will assist the Hospital in expanding its current market share. These changes could include expanded levels of service, discontinuation of specific services, the recruiting of additional physicians, development of a local provider network, and/or the development of strategic alliances with regional healthcare providers.
